This event was proposed by Totok Purwanto, a member of Bandung branch of IRPS who was on duty in Cirebon, and held in Cirebon locomotive Depot on March 22, 2009. Cirebon was located 185 kilometers north-east of Bandung, West Java.

At least 25 IRPS members gathered under Lempuyangan flyover, Yogyakarta, to visit the Yogyakarta Balai Yasa (Workshop) and BPTT (a school for locomotive engineers) Yogyakarta on February 16, 2009. They came from Jakarta, Bandung, Purwokerto, Surabaya and, of course, Yogyakarta. Head of Production Unit Bambang Trisilo and some staff members of BY Pengok greeted the team.

On November 28, 2008, the Balai Yasa (Workshop) Surabaya Gubeng conducted a test run on CC200 15 and Djoko Kendil passenger cars. The East Java branch of IRPS also participated in the event. The IRPS team consisted of Ian, Edja, Dimas, Addin and Danur.

On November 14, 2008, at least 26 members of IRPS from Jakarta, Bandung, Pekalongan, Yogyakarta, Madiun, Malang, and Surabaya were in Surabaya to visit Balai Yasa (Workshop) Surabaya Gubeng and Sidotopo locomotive depot.

On the same date of IRPS’ 6th anniversary on June 25, 2008, Balai Yasa (Workshop) Surabaya Gubeng conducted a test run of a special train. The trainset consisted of CC20015 and Djoko Kendil passenger cars. The trainset was painted in dark green and light yellow livery, a livery of the then Perusahaan Jawatan Kereta Api. The train ran from Surabaya Gubeng Station in East Java to Purwokerto Station in Central Java via Yogyakarta.
