On November 14, 2008, at least 26 members of IRPS from Jakarta, Bandung, Pekalongan, Yogyakarta, Madiun, Malang, and Surabaya were in Surabaya to visit Balai Yasa (Workshop) Surabaya Gubeng and Sidotopo locomotive depot.

The next IRPS programme after visiting Tasikmadu Sugar Mill was a joyride onboard a feeder train which served the Solo-Wonogiri branch line. It was held on May 25, 2008 and coordinated by the Yogyakarta branch of IRPS. The feeder train consisted of BB300 29 and an economic-class passenger car (K3-66519). The ticket cost Rp 2000 per trip.

One of IRPS programs in 2008 was visiting Pabrik Gula (Sugar Mill) Tasikmadu. It was held on May 24, 2008, and coordinated by IRPS Yogyakarta. Its participants were Fajar, Bagas, Yudha, Asep, Pura, Aryo, Tantra and a friend, Dhanur, Dimas, Ian, Rizky, Kris, Gema, Ner, Sampurno, Willy and family, Ito, Luki, Setyo, Intrias, Dhana, Gupito, Arga, Tri, Agung, NK Arifin, Adit Schu, Indra Imoet and Steven Ali.

On March 20 at 07:30AM on platform 3 in Kalibaru Station, East Java, stood a lori (speeder/railway motor car) which would take IRPS team to Garahan Station. Actually the intended route was Kalibaru-Garahan-Kalisat Bondowoso. Since the rail tracks on the Kalisat-Bondowoso line lost many of their rail spikes and soleplates, the route was shortened from Kalibaru to Garahan. The lori departed at 07.40AM and arrived at Garahan Station several minutes later. At Garahan Station, the team continued the tour to Kalisat Station by the 09.50 economic-class Pandanwangi from Banyuwangi.

The morning economic-class Merak Jaya departed from Jakarta Kota on January 26, 2008, at 07.30 a.m. Its destination was Merak. Aboard it was a team of Jakarta-Merak tour. The unique thing of the journey was the combination of crowded passenger cars, beatiful scenery, and traditional snacks.

Almost of all IRPS members joining the fun ride of Ambarawa Railway Mountain Touring with E1060 steam locomotive carrying three ancient wooden wagon.
Also visiting and exploring Ambarawa Steam Locomotive Depot and Ambarawa Museum to find out more preservation obcjects.

In June 28-30, 2007, IRPS members (Bagus Widyanto, Intrias, Muhammad Rizky TH, Asep, Pura, Ario, Nugroho WU and Rudi Linggadiharja) organized a tracking with route Bandung-Solo-Semarang Poncol-Tegal-Cirebon line and visit to various historic assets.

In May 27, 2007, IRPS members organized a tracking to Purwosari-Wonogiri line and visit to house of Mochtadi (Head of Public Relationship, Yogyakarta Operational Region, PT. Kereta Api) in Solo. Team amounts to 9 people.
IRPS and Mochtadi discuss about our concern to inactive lines in Yogyakarta area. above the inactive lines has stood permanent building and various historic assets in inactive lines (such as station building) tritiated and loses.
And we also supports fully that Purwosari-Wonogiri line remain to be active to take care of PT Kereta Api assets in order not to be destroyed by public like other inactive lines.

Ambarawa Steam Locomotive Depot finally finishing restoration once of steam engine nuber C12 18. The restoration is initiated and supported from many railfans who cares about the existence of steam locomotive in Indonesia expecially in Ambarawa.
At June 3, 2006, IRPS is invited to make a joy-ride using restored C12 18 from Ambarawa to Jambu.
